Not Your Dad’s Grilled Southwest K-Bobs

Nothing screams ‘I’m a Grill Master, don’t fuck with me’  like grilled meat and veggie skewers. Or does it scream, ‘I’m a douche bag holding a beer standing next to a grill’? There’s something about a man grilling that turns him into a drama queen. You can scream whatever the hell you want when you amaze your guests and freeloaders with these Southwest grilled sticks of awesome. Now, go get the grill hot, the beer cold, and take that cliché of an apron off–it doesn’t impress anyone.

What To Do With It
  1. Mix the seasoning ingredients well to create the Southwest grill baste.
  2. Thread the meat and vegetables onto the skewers any way you want. Baste those bastards with a light coating of the Southwest seasoning and toss on a hot grill over direct heat.
  3. Grill the skewers for about 10 - 15 minutes (or until the meat is cooked through), basting the skewers with additional Southwest seasoning baste and rotating the skewers every 2 - 3 minutes to cook evenly. Remove from the grill, grab another beer, and pat yourself on the back for being a Grill Champion.
